What pays for this site, and what we do to keep that from shaping what the pages say.
How this site is funded
The English pages carry no affiliate links at all. Every programme registered here only works for travellers departing from South Korea: the product links ship domestically, and the flight links search routes out of Seoul Incheon. Linking something you cannot use is not revenue β it is a reason to distrust the rest of the page.
If a programme is registered for this language, this paragraph will name it and carry the disclosure that programme requires. Until then, no links go out.
How product links are chosen
Which page gets which product is decided by topic keyword rules (water-related page β water filter, for instance). There is no step that prefers a higher commission, and the rules are the same table the news pipeline uses β so the same topic cannot end up with two different products. When those rules were duplicated in two places, pages did end up linking something unrelated to the text; merging them into one table is what fixed it.
Price, availability and specifications are the retailer's and change over time. Anything about a regulation is written from the official source, independently of whether a product is linked.
What this site does not do
- No display advertising or banners.
- Nothing is written, or reordered, in exchange for payment. No sponsored reviews.
- Whether a page carries an affiliate link does not change what it recommends.
- Every affiliate link carries
rel="nofollow sponsored", without exception.
Visitor data
No third-party analytics SDK and no advertising script. No cookies, and no storage of IP addresses, user agents or search terms. There is no user identifier at all, so two visits by the same person cannot be connected.
Whatever you tick off in a checklist stays in your own browser (localStorage). What reaches the server is a per-day count of which items were ticked and which affiliate links were clicked β never anything about who did either.
